Our Membership Committee is all about building a stronger, more vibrant water monitoring council by bringing in new members – along with their ideas and expertise – into the organization. The people who serve on the Membership Committee work together to develop strategies to engage college students interested in water resources and professionals at all levels in activities of the InWMC and introduce them to the many benefits the council has to offer. Committee activities include:
- Working with the other InWMC committees to increase opportunities for member involvement
- Coordinate with organizers of water-related events in Indiana to help get the word out about the InWMC
- Reaching out to watershed groups to alert them to InWMC resources that can help them in their education and outreach efforts and their water monitoring
- Identifying and engaging college and university water groups to show students the benefits that membership can have for their future careers
If you enjoy meeting with new people and want to help us grow our membership and the collective energy and expertise we offer to the water resources community, contact Mark Howell to join the Membership Committee today.
